Sean's Smokehouse BBQ and Grill

This restaurant is located in Saratoga Springs off of SR 73 near the UPS store. The food is more than great! There is a variety of smoked meats as well as salad, baked potatoes and other items on the menu. Watch out for the baked potatoes though. I love them and they taste great, however, the last few times I have gotten the potato there was a huge black spot in it. Not sure why. On the other hand you can order the potato with a side of meat, ranch, or whatever. It is very delicious, a great deal and it is huge! They have their own BBQ sauce which is excellent and you can even buy some to take home. This is a place that you have to go to, you will not be disappointed.

BBQ House Pitmaster

The restaurant is located in Draper, Utah just off 123rd South and 300 East. My husband and I decided to stop at this place since we had not been there before. I was not disappointed in the meal I got. There was a lot of food for the price. I could not eat my whole sandwich, which was delicious! The plate that my husband ordered was very tasty and had so much on it that he had to get a box to go. To top it off the chef came out and spoke with us, asked us how we liked the food, and had a nice conversation. Would we go back, yes we will!

Mountain West Burrito

When we were trying to recover from Firehouse Subs we went next door to the new Mountain West Burrito restaurant. I wanted to try the burritos, surely this place is better than the other place...wrong again. I ordered a half and half burrito, half steak and half chicken with guacamole. It looked great when we got it, that is where it stopped. There was so much gristle in the meat that I could not take a bite without it in it. My husband had the same experience, gristle throughout the burrito. The chicken, when I finally found it, was good. The burrito itself was not warm, and the entire thing was tasteless. It was mostly beans and rice, which is great if that is what you are buying, but there was very little steak or chicken in it. Save your money and go somewhere else, this is not worth trying!

Firehouse Subs

Finally, we had a an extra dollar to try a new place to eat. I have heard so many people tell me how great Firehouse Subs is and so that is where we went. Well, the decorations were fabulous. The sandwich was on the wrong bread and the other sandwich we ordered was ...tasteless. It was expensive and when I said I wanted a small soda I got a large one (it actually was a medium) that I could not drink if I wanted to. The competition (just down the street) does not have to worry about loosing business, I will still go to there If you have extra money and just want to try some place different go ahead, the kids get a plastic fireman's hat.

Wasatch Deli (in the Ranches)

Now that there is another owner I thought I would see if they had the quality of food the other owner had. Well, to start with the menu is on a different wall,  not in a place I would put it. It is very hard to tell the prices of each item. I ordered a Philly Cheese steak sandwich which used to be about $8.00 including french fries. It is now $8.99 and to my surprise that did not include french fries. I was totally disappointed. It tasted fine except the onions were a thick not thin like you find on other Philly sandwiches. This is not a place I would go back to especially when I can get a Philly Cheese steak sandwich for half that price and it comes with cheese whiz! I can also get the fries and still spend less than I did here!

Los 2 Hermanos (in the Ranches)

After trying this restaurant right after it opened  (and not liking it then) I thought I would try it again to see if they just had an off night. I ordered my food to go and wanted an extremely long period of time. Finally, the order was up and I left. Well, the french fries were half an order and not all the way cooked. The chicken taco was tasteless! I could not believe it. I was hoping it had improved and to my disappointment it had not. The price was not great either as an order of french fries and a chicken taco nothing else was $8.00.  However, on the bright side if you want to have a meeting at the restaurant there is more than enough room to have it there and enjoy being able to discuss items on your agenda!

Milagros

My husband and I were in Orem driving around 800 North and came across Milagros. We debated if we really wanted to try it or not. We checked out the parking lot and it was full of cars-that was a good sign. We then went inside and waited only a few minutes to get a table. (The decor was very nice and gave me some good ideas for future decorating at my house.) We could not decide on what to order there were so many things that sounded great. After much deliberation we settled on the  Honey-Pineapple Shrimp Salad, Chilli Rellano, and a Chicken Fundito. We received our food and it was bountiful as well as looked great. Everything was fabulous, extremely fresh, and no matter how full you were you could not stop eating!  My suggestion would be to not eat too many chips while waiting for your food.  We were even entertained by a young lad with his guitar. Everything was great and it would be a place I would go back to as well as invite guests to.  It is near WinCo grocery store off 800 North in Orem.
